Energy Advocates is a unique volunteer opportunity to become a member of an action-oriented team that will have an immediate impact on reducing energy use in Corvallis. Energy Advocates will connect with and support households that completed the Corvallis Energy Challenge in 2008.

During our 4-part Energy Advocates training in April and May, participants gained in-depth knowledge of energy efficiency strategies (e.g., weatherization and low-cost actions), incentive programs (e.g., Energy Trust of Oregon, Corvallis Revolving Loan Fund, Corvallis Weatherization Incentive Program), and state and federal tax credits.

Thanks Dean! We’ll keep you in the loop about how to save energy in Corvallis. The Corvallis Community Energy Project is designing and running the Community Carbon Challenge, and you are welcome to join us at one of our planning meetings (Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 in the main lounge of the Memorial Union on OSU campus).
