2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans: How to Watch on ESPN

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the sole team competition on the PGA Tour schedule, is set to take place this week at TPC Louisiana.

Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry headline a large field of 160 players who will form two-man teams for the event. McIlroy and Lowry aim to successfully defend their title after securing victory in a playoff against Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer last season.

This tournament marks McIlroy`s return to competitive play following his recent win at the 2025 Masters, where he achieved a career Grand Slam.

The format for the event consists of two rounds played as foursomes (alternate shot) and two rounds played as four-ball (best ball). After 36 holes, the top 33 teams, including any ties, will make the cut for the final two rounds. The victorious pairing will share a prize of $1,329,400 and each receive 400 FedEx Cup points.

Introduced in 2017, the two-man team format encourages pairings based on nationality, college affiliation, or regional ties. The current tournament scoring record is held by Nick Hardy and Davis Riley, who finished with a score of 30-under 258 in 2023.
