World No. 30 < کھلاڑی>Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has commented on his advancement to the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona. In the second round, < کھلاڑی>Davidovich Fokina triumphed over world No. 8 < کھلاڑی>Andrey Rublev with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
This win marks the first career victory for the Spaniard against < کھلاڑی>Rublev. He had previously lost all five of their head-to-head matches.
“The five defeats against Andrey were more of a psychological challenge than a tennis one. That`s why I`m pleased that I played strategically well today. I knew he would compete regardless of the score, so the only option was to fight to the very end.”
