Alex de Minaur Comments on Wimbledon Surface

Sport news

World No. 11 Alex de Minaur of Australia shared his perspective on the playing conditions at Wimbledon.

On July 3rd, he successfully advanced to the third round of the tournament, defeating Arthur Cazaux of France in four sets.

During his press conference, de Minaur commented on the grass courts: “Some people like this surface, some don`t. In my opinion, it hasn`t changed much in recent years. But the game overall has become slower. There are now longer rallies here; players even slide on the grass. I think fans like this because there`s more fight and intrigue.”

De Minaur`s next opponent will be Denmark`s August Holmgren, currently ranked World No. 192 on the ATP tour.
