Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka, the world`s top-ranked player, on her victory at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, USA. In the final match, she defeated American Jessica Pegula, the world number five, with a score of 7-5, 6-2.
In his congratulatory message, Lukashenko stated, “Congratulations on your victory in Miami. With your powerful, consistent, and beautiful play, you have once again confirmed your leading position in women`s world tennis. We are proud of your success and always support you. I wish you good health and new achievements.”
The Miami Open title marks the 19th single trophy in Aryna Sabalenka`s career. It is also her eighth victory at WTA 1000 level tournaments and her second in 2025.
