Blackburn Rovers will receive compensation for Higgins, potentially around £1.5 million.

Despite being only 16, Higgins is already playing for Blackburn`s under-18 team, and his performances for England youth teams have attracted Arsenal`s attention.

There are hopes that Higgins could follow the path of Adam Wharton and David Raya, who also began their careers at Ewood Park before achieving stardom.

Sources familiar with Higgins note similarities in his playing style to Jamie Vardy, the experienced Leicester City forward known for his relentless play.

Higgins excels at chasing through balls, utilizing his speed and finishing skills.

He has already trained with Blackburn`s Under-21s while still being a schoolboy.

Several other top clubs are also interested in signing the young striker, creating significant competition for his signature.

His talent has also garnered recognition from sponsors, leading to a contract with Puma.

Top Italian Serie A clubs are also monitoring his development and might make an offer.

Arsenal previously inquired about Stoke City defender Jaden Dixon in January and continues to track his progress.

Blackburn is also working to retain young defender Silver Eze, who is being pursued by major clubs. Eze, an Italian youth international, joined Blackburn from Accrington Stanley for £120,000 in November.
