Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz shared his thoughts on his victory in the Rome Masters final. He defeated world number one Jannik Sinner in straight sets with a score of 7/6(5), 6/1.
“We both showed a great level of play today, especially in the first set, which was very tense,” Alcaraz said at the press conference.
He added, “From the beginning, I understood that tactics were crucial in all matches against Jannik. I played very well from the first ball to the last and maintained my concentration.”
Reflecting on his performance, Alcaraz stated, “In terms of level of play, this was probably one of the best matches in my career. I am very proud of it.”
