The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) reacted to the victory of four-time Grand Slam champion and world number three, Carlos Alcaraz, at the Rome Masters. In the final, the Spaniard defeated world number one, Jannik Sinner, with a score of 7/6(5), 6/1.

The ATP press service commented on his success, writing: “Following in the footsteps of his idol,” drawing an analogy with the legendary Spaniard, Rafael Nadal.

This victory marks Alcaraz`s 19th career title. Earlier this season, Alcaraz also won the Monte Carlo Masters and the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam.
