World No. 7 Casper Ruud commented on his victory over Alexander Bublik in the second round of the Rome Masters tournament. The match went to three sets, with Ruud winning 6/4, 4/6, 6/3.
During the post-match press conference, Ruud shared his thoughts on facing the Kazakh player: “Alexander played a great match, not giving me time to think or space to construct rallies. When he`s on, he`s extremely dangerous: he serves powerfully, comes to the net unexpectedly, and hits perfect drop shots. His game can baffle you with any shot. For me, he is clearly a tricky opponent. Fortunately, in the third set, I was able to break his serve first, which helped me focus on holding my own service games.”
