UFC President Dana White has announced the streaming details for his upcoming first boxing promotion.
Earlier this year, White partnered with Turki Alalshikh to establish a new boxing venture.
White`s initial focus will be promoting a monumental boxing match.
He is set to promote the highly anticipated undisputed super-middleweight world title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, scheduled for September 13.
Dana White confirms streaming details for Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford
On Tuesday, White shared details on how fans globally can watch this significant boxing event.
In an Instagram post, White stated, “Turki wants to put on the biggest fights the fans are demanding in boxing, and this is perfectly suited to me.”
He added, “Can you believe the first boxing fight I get to promote is Canelo vs. Crawford?
“It`s truly a once-in-a-lifetime event. This historic fight featuring two of the sport’s greatest boxers will air live globally on Netflix from Las Vegas on Saturday, September 13th.”
Dana White clarified his role
There had been some uncertainty regarding Dana White`s exact involvement in this high-profile fight promoted by Turki Alalshikh.
Speculation arose about a potential disagreement after White`s name was initially absent from promotional lists for the Canelo-Crawford bout.
However, speaking to reporters at UFC 316, White clarified his position.
He commented enthusiastically, “Let me tell you what`s great about this.”
“There are many messed-up aspects in boxing, but what`s amazing is how little people leak information. In the UFC, if we sign a deal, I have to announce it instantly because news gets out everywhere. Here, things stay quiet.”
He concluded, “These guys keep things under wraps. I am promoting the fight. I`ll share details when the time is right.”
