Two-time Olympic biathlon champion **Dmitry Vasiliev** commented on the remarks by tennis player **Daria Kasatkina**, who recently changed her citizenship, stating that she “would not have been able to live a free life in Russia.”
“I feel very sorry for the girl,” said Vasiliev. “Kasatkina is just starting her life and has already made a bunch of rash statements. As she grows older and compares life in different countries, she will still come to the conclusion that home, that is, her homeland in Russia, is always better. But through her foolishness, she has burned bridges with Russia with such statements. It`s unclear why she is doing this. Apparently, Kasatkina lacks life experience. She is guided only by emotions, not common sense.”
