To prepare for the major, Scheffler will not be participating in the Truist Championship this coming weekend.
Rory McIlroy, on the other hand, recently secured his first green jacket at the Masters, successfully completing his career grand slam. A win at Quail Hollow would mark the next milestone in his pursuit of the modern grand slam within a single calendar year.
