Eddie Hall Showcases Major Body Transformation for MMA Debut

MMA news

Eddie Hall has achieved a remarkable physical transformation in preparation for his debut mixed martial arts fight.

The 37-year-old Hall is set to face Mariusz Pudzianowski in a super-heavyweight bout this Saturday in Poland, Pudzianowski`s home country.

The renowned strongman faces a significant challenge in the fighting world against the much more experienced mixed martial artist Pudzianowski, who is preparing for his 27th professional fight.

Hall first ventured into combat sports with boxing in 2022, losing by unanimous decision to fellow strongman and Game of Thrones actor Hafthor Bjornsson.

The 2017 World`s Strongest Man winner made his MMA transition in June, securing a knockout victory against the Neffati Brothers in a 2-on-1 exhibition bout.

Recognizing the formidable task ahead, Hall has trained diligently, including sessions with UFC star Tom Aspinall.

This preparation has led the heavyweight to bulk up to approximately 355 lbs (161 kg), a significant physical change.

This current weight is still considerably less than his peak weight of 432 lbs (196 kg) during his strongman career.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Hall stated, “I`m currently around 350-355 lbs, and that`s likely the weight I`ll fight at.”

He added, “I have no plans to lose any more weight. My fitness level is good.”

“I`ve been training four-minute rounds and I`m not getting exhausted; I feel big and strong.”

“As I always say, I`ve never heard a fighter wish they were weaker for a fight.”

“Therefore, I don`t intend to shed any weight, muscle mass, or anything else.”

“I can fight effectively, I have the necessary stamina, and I am comfortable competing at this weight.”
