Arsenal`s rising star, Ethan Nwaneri, celebrated his first start for England`s under-21 team by scoring an amazing goal within the first 10 minutes of the match on Monday.

After making a substitute appearance in England U21s` previous game against France, where they lost 5-3, Nwaneri impressed manager Lee Carsley during training.

This strong performance in training led to Nwaneri being selected for his first start in the subsequent match against Portugal.

England got off to a strong start in the friendly game, with Hayden Hackney scoring the first goal.

Shortly after, in the 10th minute, Nwaneri increased England`s lead with a remarkable goal.

Receiving the ball around 40 yards from the goal, the Arsenal midfielder skillfully turned, moved towards the center, and then curled a precise shot into the bottom left corner of the net.

Fans of Arsenal quickly took to social media to express their excitement about his goal. One fan commented, “This boy is truly special.”

Another added, “That`s his signature goal, you can just recognize it`s him.”

A third fan noted, “How can you already have a trademark finish at just 18? It`s incredible.”

Portugal managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Fabio Silva in the 22nd minute.

However, Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich extended England`s lead again later in the game.

Further goals from Carlos Forbs and Jaden Philogene secured a 4-2 victory for the England U21s.

Speaking about Nwaneri`s goal, Carsley said, “That type of finish is definitely something he possesses. Everyone anticipates what he`s going to do, but it`s almost impossible to stop. He executed his goal exceptionally well. We must remember he is only 18. It`s quite amazing, isn`t it?”

“It’s crucial to support these young players. The team`s support around him is also important, especially because progress isn`t always linear. We need to be there for him even when things are tougher. But truly, he has made an incredible impression.”

Carsley also mentioned his eagerness to include Nwaneri in the squad for the upcoming tournament in Slovakia, adding, “It’s important we take good care of him and decide if participating in the summer tournament is the best step for his development.”

“We will definitely discuss this with Arsenal to ensure we are aligned on the best decisions for his future.”
