A highly respected figure in MMA history, Penn competed in the UFC from 2001 to 2019. He secured world titles in two weight classes before being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Recently, the 46-year-old has been posting unsettling content on social media about his mother, Lorraine Shin, and brothers Jay Dee, Reagan, and Kalani Mamazuka.

The fighter even appealed to the Hawaiian police to launch an investigation into his family, insisting he is the victim of a bizarre conspiracy.

In a desperate online message, he stated: “Hilo Police Department, I need your help. My mother… my brothers… we’re (sic) all murdered and I need you to investigate.”

The fighting legend continued, “I need you to investigate these guys get these people out of my house and my off my properties.”

He shared these alarming fears through a series of concerning social media posts, suggesting that the people in his home are attempting to “steal everything from my family.”

In one post, Penn expressed his apprehension about these “imposters,” explaining he felt unable to take action against them due to potential legal repercussions.

He elaborated, “If I harm any of these people… I go to jail… If they harm me, nothing will happen to them.”

The former fighter also reached out to former training partners and law enforcement officers within the martial arts community for assistance, asking, “Are you guys gonna help me?”

Dean Lister, a retired martial arts veteran, responded in the comments, encouraging Penn to connect with him.

Appearing to disregard the strange claims, Lister commented, “BJ, let’s get back to training my man. Need anything from me, get in touch my brotha.”

Another of Penn`s posts featured a comparison of two images of his brother Jay Dee, claiming they depicted different individuals.

He pointed out differences in teeth, chin, and nose between the two pictures, alleging that the image on the right was the fake.

He asked his followers, “Are we going to help JD and Reagan and my mother and look for them and investigate these fake frauds who are trying to steal everything from my family?”

On Thursday night, Penn responded angrily to concerned fans who suggested he was “crazy.”

He retorted in a rambling social media post: “It`s the stealing and the killing that must stop. F*** you and your horse. A nation of laws or a nation of flaws? What you guys need to do is walk upstairs and go in your room take off all your clothes. Lie in your bed. Get comfortable and go f*** yourself.”

Distressed fans shared their reactions in the comments of his posts.

One fan commented, “This is so f*****g sad man. Bj was my favorite fighter of that era.”

Another worried follower of BJ Penn wrote, “Yo if any of BJ`s friends are reading this, please get this man some help.”

Penn`s last UFC fight was in 2019, where he was defeated by Clay Guida at UFC 237.

He was subsequently released from the UFC, concluding his career on a seven-fight losing streak.

The Sun has contacted both the UFC and Hilo Police for comment.
