Jake Paul faced criticism ahead of his return to the boxing ring following an interview that concluded abruptly.
Paul secured a unanimous decision victory over former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night.
While Logan Paul offered critical commentary on Chavez Jr.`s performance after the fight, negativity also surrounded Jake, a common occurrence.
Before the bout, Paul walked out of an interview with controversial talk show host Piers Morgan, who had criticized Paul`s upcoming match against Mike Tyson.
Despite Paul stating he and his team would ‘vigorously go after’ his detractors, Morgan shows no signs of backing down.

Piers Morgan Proposes Double-Header Event Featuring Himself vs. Jake Paul and Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis Rematch
On a recent episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the talk show host revisited the fallout from his interview with Jake Paul.
Joining Morgan on the show was Dillon Danis, who has his own history with the Paul brothers, having fought Logan Paul in a professional boxing match in 2023.
Both men were critical of Jake Paul’s performance against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and his overall boxing career, questioning the caliber of his past opponents.
Morgan went on to suggest that he himself could be a potential opponent for ‘The Problem Child’, citing his recent training.
“I’ve been doing boxing training now for a few months, I have actually been in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. I’m in his right age wheelhouse. I’m 60 years old with zero professional boxing experience, so I’m pretty much his perfect target for his next fight.”

The talk show host then pitched a unique double-header fight card.
“I think we should suggest a double header. You have the re-match with Logan, which would be the real fight between two proper fighters, and I will take on Jake Paul, in a pay per view to end all pay per views! I fancy my chances, honestly I would.”
Danis responded that despite Morgan`s lack of professional experience, he humorously doubted whether Morgan was old enough to fit Paul`s typical opponent profile.
“I do too, but I don’t think you’re old enough for him.”
Jake Paul Reportedly Targeting Higher-Ranked Opponents
Coincidentally, on the same night Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Gilberto Ramirez successfully defended his WBA (Super) and WBO cruiserweight titles.
While challenging a reigning world champion might seem overly ambitious for the controversial 28-year-old Paul, a fight against Ramirez now appears to be a potential reality.
Following their latest update, the WBA has ranked Paul at #14 in the cruiserweight division, making him officially eligible to challenge Ramirez later this year.
Given Paul`s significant star power and the considerable attention a world title fight would generate, it is certainly within the realm of possibility that his next professional bout could be for a championship.
