Frank Lampard Attracts Premier League Interest Following Coventry City Success

Chelsea icon Frank Lampard is reportedly a target for a Premier League club due to his impressive performance at Coventry.

Lampard, aged 46, resumed his managerial career in November, taking charge of the Sky Blues. This move came after a challenging period as Chelsea`s interim manager and a previous unsuccessful stint at Everton.

The celebrated former midfielder has revitalized his coaching reputation by significantly improving Coventry. He transformed the team from a Championship side battling relegation into serious contenders for promotion.

Under Lampard`s guidance, the team has climbed from 17th place to currently occupying a playoff spot.

According to reports from talkSPORT, Southampton are monitoring Lampard as a potential replacement after recently dismissing their manager, Ivan Juric.

Juric was let go shortly after Southampton`s 3-1 defeat to Tottenham, which confirmed the club`s relegation to the Championship.

However, Lampard is currently focused on Coventry`s push in the Premier League.

Southampton are considering other candidates for the managerial position in the second division next season.

These include Danny Rohl of Sheffield Wednesday, Liam Rosenior of Strasbourg, and former Premier League manager David Wagner.

Rohl and Rosenior are reportedly among the leading candidates on Southampton`s shortlist.

Danny Rohl successfully steered Sheffield Wednesday away from relegation last season and has since led them to compete for a playoff position this season.

Liam Rosenior has also achieved impressive results with Strasbourg. After finishing 13th in Ligue 1 last season, he has guided them to fourth place, putting them in contention for Champions League qualification.

First team coach Simon Rusk, with Adam Lallana as his assistant, will manage Southampton until the end of the current season.
