West Ham player Niclas Fullkrug strongly criticized his own team.

After West Ham drew with Southampton, who are at the bottom of the league, Fullkrug gave a very angry, expletive-filled speech about his teammates not playing well.

The German striker for West Ham said sorry for his own bad performance and said his teammates lacked motivation and skill in a harsh review.

Southampton took the lead in the second half, but West Ham`s Jarrod Bowen scored to equalize. However, Southampton scored again in the last minute of the game, making the final score a draw.

Fullkrug, who helped set up Bowen`s goal, said angrily: "It`s a problem with our attitude. I`m very angry today.

"I`m not just disappointed, I`m angry about how we played after we scored."

"It was hard to get the team to push forward again, we just stopped pushing."

"We tried, but we didn`t have the skill or the desire to push forward again. I`m very, very angry that we played like that."

"For some minutes, we showed what we can do against a team like that at home."

"We showed that we can control the ball, attack, and create chances to score more goals."

"But the desire, I`m sorry, we were rubbish, and I`m very angry."

"It`s not the first time we score a goal, and then the next time we kick the ball, we just kick it far away."

"We stop trying to play football."

"We stop pushing forward, we just drop back, and that`s not how we want to play."

"Why do we play with control of the ball for 65 minutes before, even if it`s not perfect?"

"We try to play with the ball, try to make chances, we try to score, and then we score, and after that, half of the team tries to score again, and the other half just tries to defend very deep."

"That`s not how it works."

"We need to find a way to work together, to have a plan, where we want to go, and what we want to do."

"The coach has made it very clear what he wants, we all need to do it, everyone has to do it."

'NEVER HEARD TRUER WORDS'

The West Ham coach had also said that the team needs to control games better and play stronger at home.

Many West Ham fans agreed with Fullkrug`s angry words.

One fan wrote online: "Give Fullkrug the manager`s job, never heard truer words."

Another person said: "Some players need to listen to this and be more like him. Fullkrug is just speaking the truth!"

And someone else added: "That interview with Fullkrug is spot on."
