Main draw matches at the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg kicked off today, May 18th. Two first-round encounters were played in Germany`s second-largest city.
Here are the results from the opening day:
- Luciano Darderi (Italy) defeated wild card entrant Diego Dedura-Palomero (Germany) with a score of 6/1, 6/4.
- Fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina, 4) won his match against Pedro Martinez Portero (Spain), securing the victory 6/2, 6/3.
Looking ahead to the second round, Darderi is set to face the winner of the match between American Brandon Nakashima and Belgian Raphael Collignon. Cerundolo will compete against the victor of the clash between Jiri Lehecka (Czech Republic) and Borna Gojo (Croatia).
