Today marks the 39th birthday of Czech tennis player Barbora Strycova. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Barbora and wish her health and continued success in all her endeavors.

Born on March 28, 1986, in Plzeň, Czech Republic, Barbora Strycova began her professional tennis career in 2003. Throughout her impressive career, she secured two WTA singles titles and 32 doubles titles, accumulating over $12.7 million in prize money.

Strycova`s best Grand Slam singles performance was reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals in 2019. She achieved her highest WTA singles ranking of world No. 16 in January 2017.

In 2019, Barbora triumphed at Wimbledon in doubles, partnering with Hsieh Su-wei, and also reached the world No. 1 ranking in doubles.

Representing the Czech Republic, Strycova contributed to six Fed Cup titles (in 2011-12, 2014-16, and 2018). She also earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in doubles with Lucie Šafářová.

Barbora announced her retirement from professional tennis in May 2021. In September of the same year, she welcomed her son Vincent.

In 2023, Strycova revealed her comeback to professional tennis, participating in doubles competitions in Madrid. She partnered again with Hsieh Su-wei and won the Wimbledon title in July. Despite this victory, Barbora upheld her decision to retire. In May 2024, she gave birth to her daughter Josephine.

In her leisure time, the Czech athlete enjoys reading books, watching movies, and indulging in skiing and snowboarding.
