Harry Winks was reportedly removed from the Leicester City team sheet after a significant disagreement with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Winks, age 29, was surprisingly absent from the squad that faced Manchester City on Wednesday, where Leicester suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Sources indicate that the exclusion followed a “heated” discussion between Winks and Van Nistelrooy, as reported by The Telegraph.
The disagreement reportedly stemmed from Van Nistelrooy`s request for Winks to reduce his daily 100-mile commute to Leicester`s training center, valued at £100 million.
Van Nistelrooy suggested that Winks stay at the on-site hotel at Seagrave in North Leicestershire one night per week.
However, Winks is understood to have declined this suggestion. He reportedly has personal reasons for his daily commute from Hertfordshire, a routine he has maintained since joining Leicester for £10 million from Tottenham under previous manager Enzo Maresca.
Winks, who has represented England ten times, recently welcomed a daughter with his partner Lowri Algar in March.
This incident adds to a series of off-field challenges for Leicester, who are facing the possibility of immediate relegation back to the Championship league.
Earlier this season, Winks was involved in another incident when he and other Leicester players were seen partying in Copenhagen. They held a banner saying “Enzo I miss u” after a defeat to Chelsea, managed by their former coach Maresca.
Leicester City has been contacted for their comments on the situation.
This is a developing story.
