Former world No. 3 Russian player Nikolai Davydenko has spoken out about the unconvincing results of Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev.
“He has completely lost confidence. He plays his tennis, but we can see that this is not his game. He has lost a bit of speed, maybe confidence, or rather stability; he has started to make more mistakes,” Davydenko said on BB Tennis.
In the second round of the Masters in Miami (USA), Medvedev lost to world No. 56 Spaniard Jaume Munar with a score of 2/6, 3/6. As a result of the tournament, he will leave the Top 10 of the ATP ranking for the first time since 2023 and will become the 11th player in the world.
