Danish tennis player Holger Rune, winner of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, Spain, shared his thoughts on his victory. In the final, he defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 7-6(6), 6-2.

According to Rune, he found it difficult to get into the game due to nerves initially. However, the Dane managed to find his rhythm later in the match.

“This victory is very important to me. It was a great match. At the beginning, I was a bit nervous because Carlos plays excellent tennis. I needed to breathe properly and find my rhythm.”

“When Carlos got a break, I started to play better and found my game. The first set was a real battle. It was very important to take it, to catch the moment. I am very proud of myself,” Rune said, as quoted by the ATP press service.
