“I Came Out With the Mindset to Win”. Tommy Paul After Heavy Defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros

Sport news

American tennis player Tommy Paul (world No. 12) commented on his significant loss to Carlos Alcaraz (world No. 2, Spain) in the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros tournament. The match, which Paul lost with a score of 0-6, 1-6, 4-6, concluded in favor of Alcaraz.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Paul said: “I feel better now. I came into the match intending to win. However, my movement wasn`t optimal at the start of the match. I looked around and saw that many spectators had bought tickets specifically for the evening session. Those people deserved to see me play my best and give my maximum effort, and that`s exactly what I tried to do.”
