British player Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion, commented on why she was in attendance at Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz`s match during the ATP 500 tournament semifinals in London.
“I saw some really cool shots and was like, `Yeah, let`s keep some of those!` He`s got a lot of magic that he can bring to New York. But honestly, I just had a day off on Saturday, and I was with my friends, and we thought, `Let`s go down to Queen`s and watch some tennis`,” Raducanu said.
It was previously announced that Alcaraz and Raducanu are set to play mixed doubles at the US Open. The mixed doubles event in 2025 will take place the week before the main draw begins, specifically from August 19-20.
