Iga Swiatek Displeased with Coach’s Conduct in Eala Match at Miami Open

Sport news

World No. 2 Iga Swiatek has revealed her dissatisfaction with her coach`s actions during her match against Alexandra Eala at the Miami tournament. The Polish player was defeated by the Filipina in the quarter-finals with a score of 2-6, 5-7.

“I don`t appreciate receiving advice after every single point, which is why towards the end of the match, I struggled to concentrate on the game itself. However, it`s something we will discuss. In recent matches, Wim has provided me with valuable coaching. We will definitely address this situation,” Swiatek was quoted by Tennis365.

It`s worth noting that Swiatek previously stated, “Learning from defeats is important, but there are many more tournaments ahead. I`m glad we are now transitioning to clay courts.”
