Polish tennis player Iga Świątek, a five-time Grand Slam champion, participated in the voting for the presidential elections in Poland. In the first round, 13 candidates are competing. According to preliminary data, Rafał Trzaskowski is leading by a narrow margin, but the final result will be determined in the second round.
Świątek shared a photo from the polling station on her social media, captioning the picture “Important”.
It should be noted that at the recent WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, Iga was unable to defend her title, losing in the third round to American player Danielle Collins with a score of 1/6, 5/7.
The 23-year-old Świątek is the reigning champion of the French Open in singles. She has a total of four victories at this tournament (in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024).
