Gabrielle Figueiredo, the wife of Arsenal defender Gabriel, has provided a worrying update regarding the player`s recent injury.

After receiving medical attention on the field, Gabriel left the game, indicating concern about the injury.

His wife, Gabrielle, attended a screening of the second season of Amazon Prime Video`s “Married To The Game” on Wednesday. The series follows the lives of several Premier League players and their partners, including Gabriel`s Arsenal teammate Jorginho.

Speaking to the Mail at the event, Gabrielle acknowledged the challenges faced by players` families when injuries occur.

She explained: “It`s difficult. A perfect example is right now, with his injury yesterday.”

“That`s why he couldn`t join me today; he wanted to be here, and I wanted to be with him.”

“Yesterday, we learned about his injury, and he`s currently undergoing scans with the doctor.”

“This is real life, and it`s always unexpected.”

Regarding how she supports Gabriel during difficult times, Gabrielle added: “The most important thing is to be there for each other, providing reassurance.”

“That`s what I plan to do when I get home today. It`s not easy, but we strive to strengthen our bond every day, especially in challenging moments.”

Besides Gabriel, Arsenal also saw Jurrien Timber suffer an injury during the Fulham match.

When asked about both players post-game, manager Mikel Arteta commented: “We will assess them further tomorrow.”

“Gabi felt discomfort in his hamstring, and we are unsure of the severity.”

“Jurrien was already struggling early in the game and couldn`t continue.”

Arsenal are now anxiously awaiting updates as they prepare for their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid next Tuesday.

In the meantime, the team is scheduled to play against Everton this Saturday.

Arsenal fans received some positive news with Bukayo Saka`s return to fitness. The English winger marked his comeback from the bench against Fulham with a goal just seven minutes after entering the game.
