Island Boys Brothers’ Boxing Match Ends with Comical Winner Announcement Error

Boxing news

In the boxing match between the Island Boys brothers held on Friday evening, Flyysoulja claimed victory, defeating his brother Kodiyakredd.

After a series of scandals, the story of the social media rap group culminated in an eccentric celebrity boxing match. The bout was broadcast by Adin Ross as the co-main event of his latest Brand Risk Promotions show. Despite accusations of a fixed fight, the brothers went all out for three rounds of two minutes each.

Both gave their maximum until they were exhausted, especially after one of the brothers hit the canvas in the opening seconds. However, confusion arose during the announcement of the winner: when it was time to declare Flyysoulja from the red corner as the victor, there was confusion with the name Kodiyakredd from the blue corner.

Hilarious Moment: Island Boys Fight Result Incorrectly Announced

Those who feared the Island Boys would only step into the ring for a paycheck and just move around were greatly mistaken – the brothers started fighting seriously right away. Flyysoulja, considered the stronger fighter, knocked down his brother Kodiyakredd just 20 seconds in with a series of punches, exciting the crowd.

Nevertheless, this moment was not officially recorded as a knockdown, as the brothers continued to grapple and kick each other on the ground. Eventually, they stood up and continued trading wild, swinging punches, with Flyysoulja landing the more accurate shots.

Ultimately, both tired and struggled to land punches, while their potential next opponent Charleston White goaded them from the commentary booth. But when they did engage, it seemed Flyysoulja knew how to throw something resembling a straight punch.

They eventually went the full three-round distance, and ring announcer David Van Auken was tasked with giving the result. It was a split decision, but it seemed that Kodiyakredd being in the blue corner confused him, and he announced the clear loser as the winner.

However, the referee quickly raised the correct fighter`s hand, and Van Auken quickly and awkwardly laughed before making a second, correct announcement. Kodiyakredd later claimed he had been unable to train due to pancreatitis.

Redd`s record is now 0-2. Last month, he lost his debut by knockout in front of UFC boss Dana White. He even earned $10,000 for the executive who bet on his opponent in a wager with Ross during the show.

Island Boys Star to Fight Charleston White at Next Brand Risk Promotions Event

Following the final bell and the awkward moment with the incorrect winner announcement, Charleston White entered the ring. The flamboyant influencer began mocking both brothers and initiated a feud with Flyysoulja after their originally planned fight for Friday night fell through.

White turns 55 tomorrow and had issues with his medicals in Florida. But Ross is hosting a Brand Risk Promotions event outside the state for the first time next month in Nashville, and expects Tennessee authorities to be more lenient regarding sanctioning.

There was a face-off between White and Flyysoulja, where they exchanged barbs, and the fight was virtually scheduled for next month. It will be a busy card, as Ross also intends to organize a bout between Adam Saleh and Deen The Great.
