World No. 1 Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka shared her thoughts after reaching the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, Spain. In a tough quarter-final match, she successfully defeated Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk with a score of 7/6(4), 7/6(7).

Speaking after the victory, Aryna stated: “It was a very difficult battle. The crucial factor wasn`t so much the tennis itself, but the ability to manage your emotions. I am really proud that I was able to keep myself under control in such a tense situation.”

In the upcoming semi-final, Sabalenka is set to face another Ukrainian player, Elina Svitolina. The tournament in Madrid is scheduled to conclude on May 3rd.
