Jack Draper Discusses Cold Showers at Tournaments

Sport news

British tennis star Jack Draper, currently ranked sixth in the world, recently shed light on one of his notable habits during tournaments: taking cold showers. He explained his reasons and discussed whether it`s linked to his performance.

When asked about the practice, which has been referred to as a `good omen` for him, and how he started taking them, Draper responded:

“I don`t know, on Instagram you always see `take a cold shower,` `do this,` `do that.` I thought about its benefits and started doing it. I`m just trying to take care of myself as best as I can.

I think there`s also a scientific effect. In my opinion, it helps deal with anxiety if you do it correctly, I don`t know. Maybe you should try it too,” he added with a laugh.

However, Draper was clear that while he finds some benefit, he doesn`t attribute his success on the court directly to the cold water. “But honestly, I wouldn`t link my progress to cold showers,” he stated.

These comments were made by Draper during a press conference following his run to the semifinals in Madrid.
