Jake Paul has disclosed that he was on the verge of arranging a significant bout with one of boxing`s top-rated pound-for-pound fighters.
After his victory over Mike Tyson, securing his subsequent fight has proven challenging for ‘The Problem Child’.
Paul was disappointed to lose out on a potential fight with Canelo Alvarez. Adding to his frustration, another chance to face a renowned champion has slipped away.

Negotiations for Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis Fight Fall Apart
Jake Paul states that he was very close to finalizing a fight with Gervonta Davis, the WBA lightweight champion.
This high-profile matchup would have been very interesting for boxing enthusiasts.
While Davis is undoubtedly the more technically skilled boxer, Paul would have possessed a considerable advantage in weight and height, potentially influencing the fight`s outcome.
However, for the time being, the fight is off the table. Davis is focused on his rematch with Lamont Roach Jr.
In an interview, Paul mentioned, “It was seriously discussed and negotiated, and almost finalized. However, Davis needs to proceed with his rematch against Lamont Roach Jr. and secure a win. After that, we could potentially revisit our fight. Gervonta and I were indeed scheduled to fight.”
Despite missing the opportunity to face Davis, Paul insists that a major announcement is coming soon.
He elaborated, “We have an announcement prepared for next week, but I prefer not to reveal anything prematurely. We`ve had fights with Canelo and Gervonta nearly finalized, only for them to fall through. I`m refraining from making any statements to avoid jinxing it.”
Jake Paul Comments on Possible Anthony Joshua Fight
In a surprising turn, Paul recently targeted Anthony Joshua, suggesting he could defeat him in a boxing match.
Initially, it seemed ‘AJ’ might ignore the challenge, but it appears Paul has captured his attention.
According to Paul, the former heavyweight world champion is interested in resolving their differences in the ring.
Paul commented, “We are planning for a fight in 2026. Joshua contacted me and said, ‘I saw your callout, let`s do it, let`s make it happen.’”
