World No. 1 Jannik Sinner participated in a practice match with World No. 4 Taylor Fritz in Rome as he prepares for the start of the Internazionali BNL d`Italia tournament.

The Italian player, who is slated to return to the ATP Tour on Saturday after a period of absence, won the training encounter against Fritz with a score of 6-4, 7-6.

Sinner`s first official opponent in Rome will be the winner of the match between Mariano Navone and Federico Cina.
