Jannik Sinner Explains Foot Discomfort During Rome Semi-Final

Sport news

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner commented on his physical condition after advancing to the final of the Rome Masters. During the first set of his semi-final match against Tommy Paul, the Italian felt discomfort in his foot.

Sinner won the match with a score of 1/6, 6/0, 6/3. He is now set to face Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the final.

Following the match, Sinner explained the issue: “I got a small blister back in the third or fourth round. It prevents me from moving well in some moments.”

He added, “And today I felt it even more than yesterday. But I`m not worried, there`s just a bit of stiffness, but that`s normal. But yes, I need to sort this problem out.”

Despite the issue, he remained optimistic about the final: “However, no excuses. The adrenaline will give me energy in the final. I`m not worried about Sunday.”
