Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner, the current world number one and a three-time Grand Slam champion, has spoken about his recent meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican residence.

“I have never experienced anything like it,” Sinner shared, describing the encounter. “I was deeply honored and didn`t even know what to say. It was a very emotional moment, and my parents were with me, which made it even more special. It`s something I definitely won`t forget.”

He added, “It`s very difficult to put the feeling into words because I`ve truly never encountered anything quite like it before. I`ve met important people in my life, but this was completely different. It was an immense honor, and I am sincerely grateful for having had this opportunity.”
