Jessica Pegula: “We Will See Much More of Eala”

World No. 4 Jessica Pegula shared her thoughts on her semi-final victory at the Miami tournament over 19-year-old Alexandra Eala (7-6(3), 5-7, 6-3).

This win marks Pegula`s third final this season, with a current record of 1 win and 1 loss. It`s also her sixth WTA 1000 final, where she has won 2 and lost 3.

During her on-court interview, Pegula commented on Eala`s performance: “I`m very tired, very, very tired. Eala is an excellent tennis player. She plays aggressively, takes the ball early, and competes fiercely. She has defeated several Top-10 players this week. It`s clear she`s a great player, and we will definitely see her many more times. She proved that today.”
