Rising Brazilian tennis player Joao Fonseca, currently ranked world No. 57, has expressed his strong desire to meet legendary 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer.
The 18-year-old shared his admiration for the retired Swiss star. “I always wanted to meet Federer,” Fonseca stated. “I haven`t seen him yet, but I hope to meet him soon. Roger was incredibly talented. He hit the ball with such ease. Furthermore, Roger strikes me as a very down-to-earth person. I thoroughly enjoy watching his interviews. He possesses a remarkable charisma and articulates his thoughts exceptionally well.”
Federer, now 42, concluded his illustrious career in September 2022 following his participation in the Laver Cup held in London. His final professional match was a doubles encounter where he partnered with 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal.
