John Isner: Djokovic Has Limited Grand Slam Opportunities Left

Sport news

Former world number nine, John Isner, has assessed Novak Djokovic`s prospects in Grand Slam tournaments.

Isner stated, “I hope I`m wrong, but it seems that Novak Djokovic has only two realistic chances left to win a Grand Slam tournament – Wimbledon and the US Open. He is getting older, and although he takes great care of his body, there`s a feeling that the main question in his career is his level of play.”

He added, “If he can serve like he did in Miami, then he definitely has chances to win Wimbledon. In one match, he had an 83% first-serve percentage; if he can maintain a level above 65%, then he is quite capable of winning Wimbledon this year.”
