Tom Aspinall has suggested that an announcement about his fight with Jon Jones is coming very soon.
The highly anticipated heavyweight title unification fight between the interim champion Aspinall and the undisputed champion Jones has been planned since last November.

Jones, 37, initially wanted a very high payment for this major fight but it seems he has now agreed terms with UFC management.
Aspinall spoke with UFC Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, earlier in March to discuss the fight. He indicated that this significant fight in UK MMA history is close to being finalized.
During an interview, Aspinall mentioned that he had a good meeting with Hunter Campbell, saying they discussed everything and it went very well. He understands his position and the company`s plans, and teased that “there’s some big news coming.”
Aspinall`s comments follow UFC President Dana White`s recent claim that the fight is “done.”

Dana White told TNT Sports that the fight is going to happen, stating “It’s done, but it’s not done enough to announce it and give you a date yet. But the fight’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of getting it signed now.”
He also added that if they manage to finalize and announce the fight, it would be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history.
Jon Jones, a Hall of Famer, last fought in November, defending his undisputed title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 with a knockout victory.
Aspinall`s last fight was in July where he defeated Curtis Blaydes quickly to defend his interim title.
