Leon Edwards is determined to demonstrate his dominance in the UFC welterweight division once again.
Edwards, known as ‘Rocky’, is stepping back into the Octagon in a significant match against American wrestler Sean Brady at The O2. This fight marks his first appearance since losing his 170lbs championship title last July.

Edwards, 33, acknowledges that he wasn’t at his best in his previous rematch with Belal Muhammad, failing to resemble the dominant fighter who maintained a nine-year unbeaten streak in the UFC.
He is now determined to silence his critics and prove he is still a significant force in the division.
Edwards stated, “I am going out there to correct my mistakes.”
“I am aware that my performance in Manchester was not representative of my true abilities.”
“It’s about rectifying my own shortcomings more than anything else. I want to show the world exactly who I am.”
UFC authorities have assured Edwards that a victory over Brady, a submission expert, will grant him another shot at the welterweight title.
However, Edwards recognizes the need for a decisive victory to solidify his claim for a title opportunity.
He explained, “I need to decisively end this fight.”
“And I must demonstrate to the world that I am still the best.”

“For me, a decision victory doesn’t feel sufficient. I believe only a finish will suffice.”
Brady is anticipating a hostile reception from the crowd as he enters the arena.
However, the Philadelphia fighter intends to use the boos to motivate him to achieve the most significant victory of his career.
He said, “Being from Philly, I’m accustomed to teams being booed.”
“Once you are in the ring, that external noise fades away. It’s just me and Leon in there.”
“The fans cannot step into the Octagon and fight for him.”
“Once you’re fighting, you become oblivious to the crowd noise.”
“I believe it will only enhance my performance.”
