Manchester City has indicated that Erling Haaland might be sidelined for a significant part of the season due to an ankle injury.
The forward had to be substituted during City`s FA Cup victory against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola had hoped for positive updates, despite the player being seen on crutches after the game.
However, it seems Haaland is facing a potentially long period away from the field, as Man City released a concerning injury report.
The Premier League champions informed supporters that Haaland has indeed injured his ankle.
He is scheduled to consult a specialist after undergoing initial examinations today.
There are suggestions that Haaland might be unavailable for the majority of the remaining season, possibly including the FA Cup semi-final next month against Nottingham Forest. The club statement only mentioned a possible return for the Club World Cup.
City`s official statement stated: "Manchester City FC confirms that Erling Haaland has sustained an injury to his left ankle.
"The Norwegian striker picked up the injury during Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final victory at AFC Bournemouth.
"Erling underwent preliminary tests in Manchester on Monday morning and will now consult with a specialist to determine the full extent of the injury.
"Assessments are ongoing to ascertain a complete prognosis. The expectation is for Erling to recover in time to participate further this season, including the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Erling a swift recovery, and mancity.com will provide regular updates on his rehabilitation."
Man City fans are now anxiously waiting for Haaland to recover in time for the crucial part of the season.
The star player was seen leaving Bournemouth on Sunday wearing a protective boot.
Due to the injury, Haaland was unable to drive his new £350,000 Aston Martin DBX 707 upon his return to Manchester.
Instead, a member of the City staff collected the lime green car.
City`s upcoming matches include Leicester on Wednesday and the Manchester derby against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, with Champions League qualification for next season still uncertain.
