Manchester United is among several clubs keeping an eye on Aaron Ramsdale as they look to resolve their goalkeeping situation.
Andre Onana was benched by Ruben Amorim for yesterday’s match against Newcastle.

However, his replacement, Altay Bayindir, had a difficult game as United suffered a 4-1 defeat at St James Park.
This result has given Amorim a major concern before Thursday’s crucial game against Lyon.
Looking ahead, the future of both goalkeepers is being questioned as United plans for a summer overhaul.
Finding a new goalkeeper is becoming increasingly urgent for Amorim, and Ramsdale, who is also being considered by West Ham, has become a potential target.
The former England, Arsenal, and Sheffield United goalkeeper is expected to leave Southampton after their relegation at the end of the season.
Despite Southampton`s poor season, Ramsdale`s reputation remains positive, and he is still regarded as a top goalkeeper in the country.
United has been observing his recent performances and believes his Premier League experience could be valuable in addressing their defensive vulnerabilities.
However, United will face competition from West Ham. Graham Potter is reportedly interested in Ramsdale as a key signing for his summer rebuild at West Ham.
Ramsdale is also attracting interest from foreign clubs. However, sources indicate that he prefers to stay in England and in the Premier League to strengthen his chances of being selected for the England national team.
Bayindir`s performance on Sunday was not helpful for Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
After deciding to rest Onana for the Newcastle game, Amorim watched as Bayindir conceded four goals in a heavy defeat at St James` Park.
Adding to the problems, Bayindir was responsible for Newcastle`s fourth goal due to a poor pass.
“We made too many mistakes that made winning difficult – that’s all,” Amorim commented. “It’s a combination of factors, it`s hard to pinpoint one specific issue.”
With a critical Europa League quarter-final second leg against Lyon coming up on Thursday, United is eager to move past the defeat in Newcastle.
Amorim now has a potentially season-defining decision to make: whether to bring back Onana or continue with Bayindir.
