Mike Tyson Endorses Dana White’s Revolutionary Boxing League

Boxing news

Mike Tyson has publicly stated his opinion regarding Dana White`s entry into the boxing industry.

The UFC president had considered launching a boxing promotion for several years before finally making the move in March.

Dana White has partnered with Turki Alalshikh to establish a groundbreaking new boxing league focused on matches between top-tier fighters.

While some figures in boxing, such as Oscar De La Hoya, have criticized Dana White`s venture, heavyweight icon Mike Tyson has emerged as a supporter.

Mike Tyson Champions Dana White’s Boxing Initiative

Since his exhibition match with Jake Paul last November, Mike Tyson has maintained a relatively low profile.

The 58-year-old has reportedly purchased a luxurious mansion and settled back into retirement.

Consequently, his initial silence on White`s move to boxing was not unexpected.

However, `Iron Mike` has now voiced his support for his longtime friend, expressing confidence in White`s success and previously suggesting he could be the best thing for the sport.

“I anticipate he will perform admirably,” Tyson told Sports Illustrated.

“He won’t allow boxers to exploit him.

“Boxers need structure and trust, something like a trust fund in business terms.

“They are prone to manipulation.”

Dana White Outlines His Boxing Vision

White`s innovative plans for boxing have received varied reactions from fans.

Despite this, he remains committed to his vision, aiming to replicate his success in transforming the UFC into a billion-dollar enterprise.

“Where do you even begin?” White remarked shortly after announcing his entry into boxing.

“Probably by ensuring the best compete against the best, that’s where I’d start.

“My approach is quite different. Turki has existing obligations for the next year and a half…

“I want to dismantle the current structure of the sport and rebuild it from the ground up, similar to what we achieved with the UFC, so my path is unique.”
