UFC fans are increasingly convinced that Conor McGregor’s time in the octagon might be over after his recent appearance with the Nelk Boys.
The American podcasters met the MMA star at his Black Forge Inn Pub in Dublin on Friday night.

McGregor seemed happy to host the social media personalities, treating them to pints of his Forged Irish Stout.
The Notorious himself joined in, visibly enjoying a pint.
Footage of McGregor drinking a pint quickly spread on social media platform X, leading MMA fans to once again question if McGregor will return to fighting.
One fan commented on X, “He’s never fighting again.”
Another expressed a loss of hope, “I used to think there was hope back in 2021-2022, I have no hope anymore.”
Another echoed the sentiment, “Yeah, he ain’t never coming back.”
One user remarked, “He ain’t gonna step a foot in that octagon.”
Another sarcastically added, “Yep Conor is not serious about coming back … sad.”
Amidst the speculation, an article titled “Inside McGregor’s Notorious lifestyle” highlights various facets of his life beyond fighting.
Conor McGregor’s multifaceted personality extends from being a UFC icon to an entrepreneur and Hollywood actor. He has significantly contributed to popularizing MMA.
He shares four children with his fiancée Dee Devlin, and their family enjoys an extravagant lifestyle.
McGregor has not competed in UFC since fracturing his leg in a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021.
Despite this, he has accumulated a net worth exceeding £150 million through ventures like his Proper No. Twelve whiskey and fashion brand.
He is expected to return to the Octagon at UFC 303 for a highly anticipated headline match against Michael Chandler.
McGregor also starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of “Road House.”
Known for his sharp wit, McGregor has been involved in several public feuds, including one with UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Their rivalry led to a controversial incident in 2018 when McGregor attacked a bus carrying Khabib.
He pleaded guilty to assault for a 2018 pub incident and faced legal issues related to driving offenses.
Joe Rogan has openly criticized McGregor, and McGregor has exchanged words with figures like Jake Paul, KSI, and Tommy Fury.
Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is also among McGregor’s rivals after their crossover fight in 2017.
Another fan commented on McGregor in his prime, “He’s gone.”
McGregor, 36, was scheduled to return to the octagon against Michael Chandler last June but had to withdraw from the fight due to a broken left pinky toe.
UFC president Dana White had anticipated a return in autumn last year but recently admitted uncertainty about McGregor’s comeback.
While McGregor insists on fighting again, he recently suggested his next appearance might not be in the octagon.
He stated, “The warrior spirit burns strong inside me. For sure… If you think I’m up here giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I won’t step in there myself, think again… Conor McGregor will fight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship – mark my words.”
McGregor’s next fight, regardless of the venue, will be his first since being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in December 2018. He is appealing the verdict.
