Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, defeated world No. 15 Grigor Dimitrov in the Miami Open semi-final. This victory marks Djokovic`s 60th Masters final, extending his own record on the tour. The Serbian player has also tied Andre Agassi`s record for the most Miami finals, with both players now holding eight.
At 37 years and 10 months old, Djokovic becomes the oldest Masters 1000 finalist in history, surpassing Roger Federer. Federer previously held the record, having reached the final in Indian Wells in 2019 at 37 years and 7 months old (losing to Dominic Thiem) and in Miami in the same year (defeating John Isner).
Djokovic has now reached an ATP final in 20 consecutive seasons (2006-2025), matching Federer`s record of 20 consecutive seasons (2000-2019).
This will be Djokovic`s 142nd ATP final overall. He is aiming for his 100th career title and will compete against Taylor Fritz or Jakub Mensik in the final on Sunday.
