Phil Foden has responded with a three-word message after Manchester United fans directed offensive chants about his mother towards him.
The 24-year-old Manchester City player was targeted with disrespectful chants concerning his mother during the goalless draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola criticized those responsible for the “shameful” chants after the match, stating: “It`s a lack of class. It`s not about Manchester United as a club, it`s about certain individuals.”
He continued, “People in the public eye, like football managers, owners, and especially players, are very exposed.”
“I truly cannot comprehend the mentality of those who involve Phil`s mother in their insults.”
“It demonstrates a lack of integrity and class, and those individuals should feel ashamed.”
Foden has since responded on Instagram, posting: “We keep going,” along with five photos of himself from the Manchester derby match.
Fans quickly showed their support in the comments, with one writing, “Don`t pay attention to the haters, Phil. Every great person has them. Keep pushing forward.”
Another added, “We stand with you.”
Following the derby, Guardiola acknowledged that he has been surprised by Man City`s performance dip this season.
He commented: “This season, our performance has declined significantly across the board, not just Phil Foden.”
“Last season, his impact, along with the team`s, was incredible. Usually, with him and the chances we create, it`s goal after goal. But that’s not the case currently.”
“The team overall is not performing at the level we reached previously, and we didn`t reach our usual standard in this particular game either.”
After Sunday`s game, footage emerged on social media showing the moment Foden was targeted by Manchester United fans.
In the video clip, filmed from the stands, Foden is seen sarcastically applauding and giving a thumbs up to the fans in the home section.
