Danish tennis player Holger Rune addressed his opponent, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, following their final match at the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, Spain. Rune emerged victorious with a score of 7/6(6), 6/2.
In his post-match comments, Rune shared words of encouragement and admiration for Alcaraz: “`Carlos, thank you for the very nice words. I congratulate you. And not only on a great week here, but also in Monaco. I was watching your game. You are truly doing something incredible for tennis, you are doing your job very well.” He concluded by saying, “I wish you all the best in the future.”
As a result of his performance in the tournament, the Danish player is set to return to the top 10 of the world rankings.
