Physical conditioning coach Marco Panichi has drawn comparisons between his current player, Jannik Sinner, and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. Panichi previously worked with Djokovic from 2019 to 2024.
Panichi stated, “When I worked with Novak, he was someone who lived and breathed tennis 24 hours a day. Jannik is very similar in this aspect, although they have slightly different personalities. Sinner is also completely immersed in tennis; he has a competitive spirit even in training sessions and genuinely enjoys the process.”
He further added, “Great champions are exactly like this – they find joy in the journey. This is incredibly important.”
