Slovak Tennis Player Norbert Gombos Angrily Confronts Fans Disrupting His Serve

Former Top 80 ATP ranked Slovak tennis player Norbert Gombos took to the stands during his semi-final match against Kamil Majchrzak of Poland (6/7(2), 6/3, 6/7(1)) at the Madrid Challenger to address fans who were interfering with his serve by whistling.

Addressing the spectators, Gombos exclaimed, “Are you guys happy? You are ruining the match. You keep whistling. Who was whistling? You are constantly whistling. Why are you ruining the game?! I don`t care if you are betting or not! I don`t care.”

During his preparation to serve, Norbert was subjected to whistling from spectators who intended to influence the outcome of the match. The 34-year-old Slovak is a winner of three ITF Future Tour tournaments and seven ATP Challenger Tour tournaments. His highest position in the ATP ranking is 80th place (2017).
