Steven Gerrard has spoken about his future in management following his departure from Al-Ettifaq.
The Liverpool icon resigned from his position as manager of the Saudi Arabian team in January after being in charge for 18 months.

Pressure had been building on Gerrard before he left, as Al-Ettifaq was only five points above the relegation zone.
After leaving the club, Gerrard was rumored to be considered for managerial roles at Derby County and Blackburn in the Championship.
However, the former Rangers and Aston Villa manager is currently enjoying time away from the pressures of management. Speaking on the That Peter Crouch Podcast, he said, “I don`t want to return to work right now.”
He added, “Having just finished, I am enjoying the freedom, spending time with family, and being free from the daily stress.”
“I will return to management eventually, but after 18 continuous months of work, I want to relax and do normal things, like playing golf or going to the pub.”
Gerrard stated, “I want to enjoy everyday activities that are difficult when you are coaching, so I am content. I am currently stress-free and not working in coaching and management, which is a 24/7 job.”
Despite this, it is unlikely Gerrard will stay out of management for a long time because he still “loves” football.
He admitted that managing does not give him the same excitement as playing did during his career.
Gerrard explained, “I miss playing every day, every single day. I would love to relive those playing days.”
“Coaching and management are not the same; they don`t fill the void. It`s still great to be involved, but it doesn`t compare to the thrill of playing. I didn`t appreciate it enough at the time.”
